In 1966 Dodge finally joined the Fastback Muscle Car party with the new Charger. The gorgeous design inside and out still looks amazing and somehow we all wish todays cars would have those looks again.
This gem was built in 1966 and is equipped with a 361cui V8 and automatic transmission. Power steering, factory tach, AC and a radio were only some of the options you can see on this Charger.
In 1968 a young man found this car at a dealer ship in New Jersey and bought it for his family. Who would have guessed that the car would remained in the same family for the next 53 years until today?
The Charger was well maintained over the years and comes with a fresh service and many new parts, like all fluids and filters, new brakes, new tires, new hoses, new exhaust, belts, spark plugs, etc. It runs and drives fantastic, all the lights work and even the original radio still plays the blues. The original "Certi Card" is still in the engine compartment and the invoice from 1968 is available as well.
She needs nothing but a now owner that cranks her up on drives her home. The paint and interior are believed to be all original, and are in great shape - some signs of time are expected of course.
The best part about it is that the body is pretty much rust free! No holes or crunchy corners anywhere it really needs to be seen to be appreciated.
If you are looking for an original example that tells a story you should take a look at this Charger, if you want a fully restored one this is not for you.
Remember, you can always restore but you can't reproduce originality!

    About Vintage Planet
Vintage planet is a passion driven business founded by Robert Hall and Marcus Heurich.
Marcus grew up in a small town in Bavaria driving German cars but dreaming of owning American muscle cars and living in the US. Robert grew up in a small town in Tennessee driving  German cars and dreaming of running flat-out on the Autobahn in Bavaria!
Not too long ago fate brought these two gearheads together. Well it wasn’t actually fate it was Craigslist! Marcus and his wife Christina were in Tennessee looking for some classic American iron when they found Robert’s ad for a 1963 Buick Electra 225. Within a few short hours Marcus was introduced to Arnold Palmer ice tea and the groundwork was laid for Vintage Planet!
These two brothers from another mother quickly realized they had very similar taste in cars, Motorsports and military aircraft, so with this much in common how could they possibly not just go all in and start a business buying, selling, servicing and consigning classic and specialty cars.
For several years Marcus operated his business in Bavaria and Robert has owned and operated American Powertrain and The Driven Man in Tennessee. In 2018  these businesses move into a multi building location just off of I-40 exit 290 in Cookeville Tennessee.
Cookeville may not be the obvious hub of classic car activity, but it is within a day’s Drive of the majority of the population of the Eastern US. The location right up against I-40 means the directions to Los Angeles are simply “turn left out of the driveway, take your first right and your first left. Go to the end of the road and that’s LA!”
Whether you’re buying your first classic car or your 100th you’ll enjoy working with Vintage Planet.
If you are selling a prized family heirloom or just thinning out your collection you will appreciate the aimiable respect and professionalism delivered by Vintage Planet in each and every one of their consignment situations.
The Vintage Planet staff  know a well-maintained classic car is a joy to own and drive, but a poorly maintained one is a burden to own, and that is why Vintage Planet service center exists. Whether your car needs just a tune up or if it has been sitting for years and needs a thorough resurrecting you will find what you need in Vintage Planet’s 12,000 square foot climate controlled garage.
Whether you are buying, selling or maintaining a classic or specialty car Vintage Planet has what you’re looking for.
Be bold. Drive old, and we hope to see you soon!
