Garage Kept Motors is very proud to feature this 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee for sale. In 1971 Dodge dropped the Super Bee from the Coronet line and moved it to the Charger. This would be the last year of the famed Super Bee package until it would reappear again in 2007. That in itself makes this car a special vehicle, however needless to say the "elephant" under the hood is what also makes this car even more special.
This Charger was originally built with a 383 V8, however under the hood now sits an era
correct 426cid Hemi V8. This car represents a unique opportunity to own and drive a Hemi powered car at well below the 0,000- 0,000 value Hagerty's Valuation Tool cites for an original 1971 Hemi powered Charger.
This car is just brilliant painted in one of MOPAR's many "High Impact" colors; Citron Yella. (Code GY3). This car was treated to a full restoration quite a few years ago, and was finished in the factory correct color. It is an older restoration, it still presents well. The yellow paint is well applied over carefully executed body work. The paint finish has been well maintained and presents well with a deep shine. It would be hard to miss this car coming down the road thanks to the bright paint color, but the correct black Super Bee graphics and 426 Hemi emblems are on the hood and really pop against the vibrant yellow paint. The bumpers are painted to match the body color and during the restoration all trim and moldings were replaced.
The black interior has been nicely restored with highlights being new carpet, seat upholstery, and headliner. The factory 3-spoke foamed rim Tuff steering wheel frames the stock instrumentation in the faux wood grain dash. An era correct Sun Super X tachometer is mounted on the steering column. Other options include the bucket seats with console and AM radio. The trunk compartment is restored and painted body color with correct vinyl floor mat.
As we mentioned earlier, a 426 Hemi V8 topped with dual 4bbl carburetors occupies the engine bay. The engine compartment shows very well and is clean and well detailed with all the correct decals and correct Mopar battery. Getting this monstrous engine shoehorned in between the frame rails means sacrificing the power brakes and power steering. Fresh air is drawn through the factory hood scoop.
Power is transferred through a 727 Torque-Flite 3 speed automatic transmission to a 9.75 Dana 60 series rear differential. Power hits the pavement via 14" factory stamped steel wheels stainless trim with white letter radial tires. The undercarriage, like the rest of the car, was restored quite some time ago. The front suspension presents as fully rebuilt and the
Charger features manual drum brakes on all four corners. The big Hemi purrs through a dual exhaust with H-pipe chamber style mufflers that flow into tailpipes with correct factory chrome tips.
MOPAR and muscle car fans alike will appreciate this Charger. This car has a number of highlights, it's finished in a High Impact color, has a 426ci HEMI under the hood, it's restored, and the interior features bucket seats and a console. This is a great car to show, or cruise, and will be sure to draw a crowd every time you pop the hood. This is a great opportunity to own and drive a street legend. Please call if interested or e-mail with questions. Thank you for looking.

    About Garage Kept Motors
Garage Kept Motors, LLC specializes in classic and specialty online auto sales.
For our consignors, we are the only auto brokers that offer a Transparent Sale Disclosure. This means, when a car sells, we provide an exact copy of the Bill of Sale. We do this so our clients know exactly who bought their car, where it went, and most importantly how much we sold it for. No funny business.
For our buyers, our vehicles are listed on the Internet, with over 100 photos, including undercarriage pictures, and walk-around videos of the vehicles running plus a narrative-style write-up of the cars history and features. Our international exposure allows us to sell cars across the globe, and we sell a majority of them out of state and overseas. We deliver honesty and consistency in our photos and descriptions, a “no surprise” approach, so buyers, both near and far, can invest with confidence sight unseen. We are not a gallery. Vehicles can be seen locally by appointment as potential buyers are given our undivided attention.
