    I have added an option to buy the unit with out the Harness assembled as plug and play but you will have to take it to a shop or do it yourself. i will ship this faster, same day as you order it actually, since i do not have to do anything to it. this is now one of your new choices.

    The unit it self will now be sold with no harness assembled kit for the direct plug ready to provide a better price then before. This means you will get the unit with no Plug and Play harness. What does this mean?  It means that it will have the harness/w wired from the unit but you will have to assemble it yourself to connect to the OE wires.

    The MapFactor App is a free version of an off line GPS application. It also provides a paid version from Tom Tom. If you are interested on the paid version go ahead and proceed with purchasing it yourself. You will need a google account to do that. I will be adding the purchased version to my unit as well. to figure out some required stuff. Specially the recovery option. I purchased it before, did a reset in the unit and lost all the data. even after i entered my google account the Tom Tom option went away. Don't want that to happened to you.

    Q: Does the unit have the ability to auto detect when my truck is put in reverse?
    A: The Unit has a special connection for this, Once connected to the right place it will auto detect the Back up camera.

    Q: Is there anything special about the camera that is better/different than something i can pick up off Amazon?
    A: The Camera i sell has nothing better or different than what you can buy anywhere else, I have tested a few different cameras my self and it seems that they all have the same functions. The only difference i notice is the screen view, Some have closer views and some farther and wider. This will be up to you on what you like and how much you want to spend.

    In regards to the rear center controller.
    The rear controller is controlled by the original head unit through an analog network connection. So far i have done lots or research and have found out nothing, and non of the known companies the make adapters have ever made this work either.  I have tried on my Excursion all different connections and have had no luck getting the HU read the buttons. If you have any suggestions you are welcome to share and i will do the same with others. I do have the wiring Diagram for the rear connector, have done some connection with no luck.

    What Navigation app can i use?
    This unit was offered with the Garmin Navigon app for your GPS unit system. Doe to Garmin discontinuing the map updates and i can no longer provide the update, the unit will now have the free version of the app named MapFactor. This app is the best one i can find to work good in the unit. You can purchase the upgrade to the full version if you like but not needed. This app will have the maps installed of the state it will be shipped to. you can add more stated but it they will need to be downloaded. there you can download any map you want. I have created a video on how to do the map downloads.

    Static noise in sound.
    To fix this problem you need to add a noise isolator. Not all Excursions have these problem. I only heard back from 3 customer about this issue. This is due to a problem with the wiring in the excursion and nothing you can do about it, some have it and some don't. Fortunately by adding the noise isolator suppressor will eliminate this noise. I will update this post once i get a feedback from customer to see what adapter he used.
