ADA MP-1 guitar preamp 3TM mod.
This is the first multi channel (128 programmable channels) preamp for guitar. It was designed to sound like a modded Marshall with tons of gain and tone shaping capabilities.
This particular unit uses what’s called the three tube mod or 3TM for added gain and grind. It has three tone options:
Distortion: Hi Gain tones live here
Clean: This was the clean tube tone but now it’s a crunch tone that’s very similar to the Brown sound.
SS: This is the solid state clean tone that’s similar to the Roland JC120 for a nice sparkling clean tone.
The MP-1 includes built in chorus for killer clean tones or thick distorted tones.
