Description

Hi, and thank you for checking out my listing!
Up for sale is a Retro PC Parts Bundle! In this bundle comes a motherboard, CPU, GPU, and RAM. Information on the bundled parts is below:
MOTHERBOARD: The motherboard is an MSI-7185 Socket 939 Motherboard with Nvidia's nForce4 SLI chipset. The board has been tested and is working just fine. One cap next to the RAM slots was replaced by me due to it buldging. The chipset cooling heat sink and fan was also replaced with another one because the previous fan's bearings were worn out and non-repairable. Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut was used as the replacement thermal grease for the nForce4 chipset. This motherboard also comes with a USB 2.0 bracket with built-in diagnostic lights that is proprietary to the board. You can see in the picture that it actually still works!
CPU: WIth the motherboard comes an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ clocking at 2.4Ghz. This CPU is the second most powerful CPU in the Athlon 64 X2 line of Socket 939 CPUs, with the 4800+ being the most powerful (this excludes the Athlon 64 FX-60 CPU, which is THE most powerful Socket 939 CPU NOT in the X2 line). Included with the CPU is an AMD Wraith Prism MAX cooler, which surprisingly fits the Socket 939 CPU! The applicable cables for the cooler will be included (ARGB Cable, RGB 12v cable, and the USB cable which will come already connected).
GPU: Also included with the motherboard and CPU is an original ATi Radeon X1650 PRO with 512MB of DDR2 VRAM. This GPU was refurbished by me, and comes with new thermal grease on the GPU die (Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut), new thermal pads for the DDR2 VRAM under the heat sink (Thermal Grizzly Minus 8 Pads), and copper heat sinks for the DDR2 VRAM on the backside of the card (3M Thermal Transfer Tape).
RAM: Included with the motherboard and CPU is a set of 4 DDR-400 RAM modules from the brand GEIL. One of the modules, for some reason, last lost its blue color; the color now appears to be a very light purple. Either this RAM module is color mismatched with the rest of the set, or its beginning to change color. Regardless of this, all RAM modules work with no problems! Keep in mind, these do get hot after a while, and it is recommended to have a good amount of airflow to keep the modules cooled.
NOTES: Motherboards based on the Socket 939 CPUs are known to reduce the speed of the DDR-400 RAM modules to DDR-333 speeds when ALL RAM slots are filled; as in, both Channels A and B are running on Dual Channel Mode. This seems to be a normal behavior that is possibly due to the limitations of the Socket 939 platform. The DDR-400 modules will run at their specified speed when only 2 RAM slots are filled in one channel; as in, both slots of Channel A or B can be filled, but not all of them. This is just a preliminary explanation so you won't have to panic when you see DDR-333 listed during the PC posting.
