Golden Buddhist Monk in Acrylic Case. This Statue (probably Resin) features a Gold Abbot or Head Monk seated in a Lotus Position on a Gold Detailed Platform (possibly a Cushion). This Chief Monk wears a 6 Petal Crown of Seated Buddhas. He wears the Traditional Robe richly adorned outside with Red & Gold Patches. The Manji or Reverse Chinese Swastika (Good Fortune) is on the Chest as part of his Necklace. His Right Hand holds a Khakkarar or Ringed Staff while the Left Hand is possibly holding a Bell. The Figurine is on a Tiered Dark Wood Stand whose Base measures 7" Square. The Golden Name Plate attached to the Front identifies The Monk. The Acrylic Cover measures 7" Tall X 5 1/2" Wide X 5" Deep. The Set weighs 5 lbs. 3/4 oz., measures 9 1/2" Tall & secured with a Double Ribbon Yellow Bow. A Red Felt Cushion Bottom will help Prevent Scratches. From my Personal Collection.
