Gold for the Sun, silver for the Moon, mercury for Mercury, copper for Venus, iron for Mars , tin for Jupiter, lead for Saturn.
Singing bowls can be made to ring by hitting or rubbing them.
The easiest way is to strike the bowl like a gong. For this you can use a mallet covered with felt. This method makes it possible to mute the sound of the impact and obtain a very pure sound.
The other way is to rub the outside edge of the bowl with a hardwood stick.
The bowl is placed on the palm or on the fingertips of the left hand. The stick is held firmly in the right hand. The circular movement on the edge of the bowl should be regular and relatively slow, the pressure of the stick sustained.
With a little practice, a singing sound, rich in harmonics will rise, transmitting its waves to the whole body via the left hand.
If the friction is stopped, the sound will gradually disappear, but the vibration will persist for a few more minutes.

Good to know: The Tibetan singing bowls are collected in the villages of Himalayan mountains in Nepal, located on the border of Tibet. These bowls are made for the most part in Nepal because the Nepalese blacksmith craftsmen are recognized for their ancestral know-how. Recent bowls come exclusively from Nepal because Nepalese artisans are the only ones to produce bowls of exceptional quality today, unlike India which is generally a producer of cheap but also of mediocre quality bowls.
